Student Community Service Officers (CSO) work with our Support Services Unit. Student CSOs assist with property and evidence, the vehicle fleet and police equipment. Students have the opportunity represent the department at events with Community Engagement Team. This is a great opportunity for students interesting in a career in law enforcement.
Student Security Monitors work as the "eyes and ears" of UMPD. Students works in different buildings around campus. They patrol and work front desks as a visible security presence. Students answer questions, educate the community on access policies, and ensure that spaces are secure. This is a great opportunity for students.
