The Department of Public Safety (DPS) is committed to promoting trust with students and the greater campus community. DPS will communicate these initiatives to the campus community and build on these yearly commitments by engaging students for feedback.
- Twenty (20) student-focused engagement events a year
- Yearly Student Summit and Student Leadership Summit (engagement, listening forum, lunch)
- Yearly student safety-focused survey
- Orientation safety engagement with all new students and student orientation leaders
- Ten (10) student self-defense workshops focused on personal safety and awareness
- Fall safety engagement with flyers, outreach, presentations, and safety programming
- Continued partnership with ISSS student internships and multicultural student engagement
- Continued safety resource presentations upon request from all student groups
