Timely Warning-July 3, 2017
On Monday, July 3 at approximately 4:45 a.m. the University of Minnesota Police Department responded to the report of a robbery. The crime occurred at the Blegen Hall bus stop on Washington Avenue.
According to the police report, the suspect approached the two victims with a knife and demanded their valuables. The victims, who are not affiliated with the University of Minnesota, gave the suspect their property. The victims were unharmed. The suspect was last seen at the Blegen Hall bus stop.
The victims describe the suspect as a light skinned black male, in his 20s, approximately five feet three inches tall and bald. He was wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans, and thick glasses.

The Department of Public Safety is required to issue Timely Notifications for crimes that meet the criteria under the Federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act. This crime occurred on Campus and is being investigated by the University of Minnesota Police Department.
