Timely Warning-March 27, 2017
On Sunday, March 26 at approximately 8:00 p.m., University of Minnesota Police responded to the report of a robbery. The crime occurred near the Carlson School of Management and Wilson Library on the West Bank campus.
According to the police report, the victim, who is a University of Minnesota student, was walking between the Carlson School and Wilson Library when three suspects assaulted him and took his phone. The suspects fled the area after the incident. The victim was treated by paramedics for his injuries and was transported to the hospital.
The victim describes the suspects as three black males, possibly of East African descent, all between the ages of 20 and 25 years old, and all five feet nine inches to six feet tall with light to medium builds.
The first suspect has short hair and was clean-shaven, and was wearing a dark gray jacket with a plain gray hooded sweatshirt underneath with the hood up.
The second suspect has short hair and a goatee, and was wearing a gray heather jacket with a red hooded sweatshirt underneath. The sweatshirt had white or black graphics on the front.
No additional description information is available on the third suspect.
